Anyone researching Bailey "Balam" (1796-1842), son of Jarrett? Bailey m. Frances "Fanny" HIGGINBOTHAM in 1816. They lived in Tazewell Co. VA. One of their children was William H., b. 1823. Todd Bolen's book has no further information on this William. Our ancestor was William BOWLING b. ~1822, who m. Cynthia HALL about 1840. They lived in Lee Co. VA until at least 1880. We wonder if this William might be Bailey's son. Does anyone have any info about Bailey's son William, such as marriage, residence, or death info, that would help us settle whether he was the William who m. Cynthia HALL? >From census records we also wonder if our William was a grandson of William (prob. 1740s-1820s) who m. Ann --- (1749-1853). Any suggestions welcome.
