I have a Harvey Bolin, b. 1874, probably Moore Co. TN. Some of this family, we think, may have lived in Limestone and/ or Madison Counties, AL. I don't know where the towns you mention are located. Are they near the TN line? Some of the Bolins that I think are related to me also are in Lincoln and Franklin Counties, TN. Linda B. battg2@midplains.net

Some people on the mailing lists Usually I do that, but I had just subscribed to 5 different rootsweb list and made a general post to get my name out there. I will eventually get to the list on a direct line level. But I'm just getting back into the swing of things since my family who was visiting just went back home and I'm trying to get caught up on housework, homework, AND SLEEP.... boy do I need that right now! POSTING: Napier/Sizemore/Bowling Connection My Napier line as I have it are from Clay, Leslie and Perry Co. KY. Just subscribing to the rootsweb on the above lists. I'm searching for the following surnames below. -- My Homepage: http://home1.gte.net/luvgwife/index.htm SEARCHING: SWANNER (SWANGER), NAPIER, PRICE, SPICER, STRONG, SLAGLE, McCRACKEN, McDANIEL, SHANKS (SCHENK), LAWSON, BECRAFT, CANNON, JONES, HISEL (BERNDHEISELL), MILLER, WEBB, HENDRIX, PEARSON, KUHN, ARNOLD (ARUNDEL),
I am searching for the parents of Nathan Henry Bouldin of Henry Co., VA. He was born abt. 1832 and died May 1, 1865 and he was married to Sallie Ann Hundley. Here is the problem, Nathan is listed in an 1860 Henry Co. census, as well as, on his Confederate papers as a BOULDIN, but his wife, Sallie Ann and children and descendants to this day spell their last name as BOWLING. If anyone could give me any leads to Nathan's identity I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Jenni Nolen (GenLea@aol.com)
Will of Robert BOULAND 20 Feb 1845-3 Mar 1845 Pontotoc Co, MS (WElcome to the real world - this is a note I think I made from some book at the Pontotoc Public Library several years ago - no reference with note, but there may be a source buried deep in my files - will post later if I find it) Robert Bouland of Pontotoc Co MS (Bowlan on tombstone - see earlier note I posted from "Valley Leaves") Brothers: William, James, John Sisters: Wilson? and Polly. Robert M., minor son of bro. William, of Pike Co GA. Jesse G. Jenning? and wife Mary Jane? Nephews: Thomas F. RAMAGE & Joseph SCOTT. Nieces: Tempy? Holloway, Sarah Kelly and Francis Epting?? Exs: wife Unity & Miller or Willis? Brown Also a note I made that Robert's sister Polly m. Wm Scott Anyone interested can write to Courthouse for a copy of will, I feel sure. Sorry this is not up to par. BUT note that this is PROBABLY the Robert (son?) in 1820 Laurens Co SC will of John Bouland recently posted by Jan Morrow (John had dau. Martha Ramage & exrs. were John Ramage & Robert Bouland. Also a daughter MARY SCOTT. "Polly" is Mary.). 1804 Laurens Co SC will of Wm BOURLAND mentioned a daughter Elizabeth Rammage & a granddaughter Jennet RAMMAGE, for what that may be worth. Someone probably already has all this - but it may get someone started. Helen

Ken, Leslie, et al - The 96 Dist of SC once covered what is now Laurens Co SC. In 1790 96 Dist covered Edgefield Co, Greenville Co., Laurens Co, Pendleton Co (maybe more, I don't remember, but it did cover those) Camden Dist in 1790 covered Chester Co SC (and maybe others). The districts then took in large areas. Here is some interesting news about a Bowling. Especially to me, as I work in the eye care field. I have cut this from a page on Yahoo, so that those who only have e-mail can enjoy it as well. Steven A. Braman ancestry@wws.net http://www.wws.net/sbraman/ancestry.html Wednesday June 10, 12:00 pm Eastern Time Company Press Release SOURCE: Brighter Vision Lens Ltd. Brighter Vision Lens Patents First Noninvasive Treatment For Macular Degeneration LAS VEGAS, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Brighter Vision Lens Ltd. announced today the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued a patent on a new contact lens which has the potential of helping over 35 million Americans suffering from Macular Degeneration and other forms of retinal disease. Macular Degeneration is a progressive retinal disease which affects the central and most 7 sensitive portions of the retina. Currently, there is no effective treatment, invasive or noninvasive, which improves the vision of a person suffering from Macular Degeneration. The Bowling Lens is designed to significantly improve visual acuity. Furthermore, the lens increases a person's ability to perceive brightness and contrast which is often drastically reduced as a result of retinal disease. The conceptual foundation for the Bowling Lens lies in this lens being custom designed for each patient. The customized lens directs incoming light away from the diseased area of the retina and onto the healthy photoreceptors. In addition to Macular Degeneration, the Bowling Lens is designed to help anyone with a condition that has affected the retina including, Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinis Pigmentosa, Histoplasmosis and other retinal diseases. According to the Research to Prevent Blindness, 1-in-3 Americans over the age of 50 is at risk of developing Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD); almost two million diabetics have severe visual impairment from retinal disease; and over six million new cases of eye disease occur each year. Dr. Patricia Bowling, M.D., the lens inventor, began her research after being diagnosed with retinal disease. After several years of work, Dr. Bowling manufactured and tested her lens on herself with very positive results. ``I personally know that the most profound and life altering loss associated with retinal disease is the unmeasurable loss of brightness and contrast,'' according to Dr. Bowling. ``I hope and pray that this lens will make the same difference for others that it has made for me.'' Brighter Vision Lens is currently seeking a strategic partner to pursue regulatory approval and market the Bowling Lens worldwide. For additional information on the Bowling Lens, please go to company's website at www.brightervisionlens.com or contact Sean Ross at 702-837-6970. SOURCE: Brighter Vision Lens Ltd.
