    3. Does anyone know who the Robert Ford mentioned is? There was a Robert Ford who was the Clarke for the 1607 Jamestown Councell. and mentioned several times by Captain John Smith in his Works. No one seems to know what happened to him after he left Jamestown. Wondering if he might have ended up in Saco ME. Perhaps he was on the mapping venture with Smith. Thanks for input, James! I am related to the BULLY family referred to herein. I had the surnames slightly different but I believe these people are in my GEDCOM under an alternate spelling as follows: Nicholas BULLY b. ca 1610 Stoke Fleming, Devonshire, England d. bet. 7 sept & 1Nov 1678 Saco, York Co., Maine m. Eleanor BARTH Children: 1. Nicholas Jr. BULLY b. ca 1632 d. bef. 5 Jul 1644 m. Eleanor BARTH <<my line via daughter Abigail BULLY m. Peter HENDERSON>> 2. Serves me right for trying to be useful when I can barely breath. The date of death of Nicholas Jr. BULLY was 1664 not 1644 Tamsen BULLY who was buried 20 Jul 1661 was b. on or after 1640 NOTE: The spelling I had included BOADEN & BOWDEN. No hint of BOWLES in what I had, but am not challenging the link to BOWLES, just passing on what I had hoping it helps. james "cough, hack" wall P.S. here is a good source for many of these families: Title: Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire Author: Sybil Noyes, Charles Thornton Libby, and Walter Goodwin Davis Publication: Portland, ME 1928-1939; Baltimore, MD, Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Thu, 17 Jul 2008 22:38:07 -0400 From: "Leathel" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Subject: Re: [BOWLES] Saco, York Co., Maine answer To: <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Message-ID: <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset="iso-8859-1"; reply-type=original Thanks everybody, James get well soon.
