Kopec June 12, 2008 Adele A. Kopec ERVING,MA -- Adele A. (Ambrazavitch) Kopec, 83, of 20 Pratt St. died Thursday (6-12-08) at the Buckley HealthCare Center in Greenfield MA. She was born in Peabody MA on June 12, 1925, the daughter of Boles and Blanche (Peskavitch) Ambrazavitch. She graduated from Peabody High School. she had been a resident of Millers Falls,MA since 1945. Adele was a receptionist for the late Dr. Emid D. Elgosin in Millers Falls for many years. Previously, she was employed for the Stanley Cafeteria in Peabody. She was a communicant of St. John's Church in Millers Falls MA. She was a member of the Erving Senior Center and many other clubs and organizations. Adele enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Also, she enjoyed bus trips with her late husband John, playing cards, bingo, African violets and other houseplants and sending greeting cards to everyone she met. She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Kopec, in 1999; her sister, Alice Benoit in 1986, and her son-in-law, David Burniske in 2003. Survivors include three daughters, Alice Joyce Maslanka of Erving and twins, Christine A. Dunnell and her husband Skip of Northfield and Catherine A. Burniske of East Deerfield; three grandchildren, John D. and Alison R. Maslanka and Amanda M. Dunnell, and a nephew, Robert Benoit. Services will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls, MAfollowed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in St. John's Church, Millers Falls,MA with the Rev. Dennis Bombardier, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Turners Falls MA. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Church Renovation Fund, 5 Church St., Millers Falls, MA 01349 or the Erving Senior Center, Pleasant Street, Erving, MA 01344 or the Buckley HealthCare Center, c/o Activities Fund, 95 Laurel St., Greenfield, MA 01301.
