LaFon in charge assisted by Rev. Irvin Gaddis. Burial was at the Elkhorn Cemetery. Mr. Gabehart, son of Mrs. Lucy Harden Gabehart and the late James Gabehart, died at his home near Mannsville, October 14 at 11:35 p.m. He had been in ill health for several months. He professed faith in Christ recently and was a member of the Elkhorn Methodist Church. He united in marriage to Miss Minnie Dell Smith in 1912, who survives. To this union six sons and four daughters were born, surviving are Del, Ralph, Earnest, Weldon, Mrs. Maurice Dabney, Mrs. Dewey Jones, Mrs. Edwin Rice, all of Taylor County; Mrs. Paul Farbeck of Milwaukee, Wisc.; Hubert Gabehart of Marseilles, Ill. Samuel Creel preceded his father 17 years ago. Besides mother, wife and children, he is survived by seven brothers and three sisters, Ewing, Leona, Otha, Gi! lbert, all of Taylor County; Ed Gabehart of Long Beach, Calif.; Onie Gabehart of Jamestown; Walter Gabehart of Marseilles, Ill.; Mrs. Kenneth Eads of Leitchfield; Mrs. Mary Raffety and Mrs. Marvin Porter, both of Louisville; seven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were: Aldon, Bryce, Edmond, and Carl Gabehart, Robert and Theadore Benningfield. Honorary pallbearers were Cosley Buchanan, Fletcher Cox, Raymond Bowles, William Murray, George Harmon, Chandler Ford, Clentie Bowen, Hynes Caffee, Fred Wright, Wilbur Whitley, Bruce Dabney, and Grasbee Bowen. Flower girls were: Mrs. Velma Bohanon, Mrs. Maxine Phillips, Mrs. Hylma Minor, Misses Lucille Cox, Juanetta Johnson, Sonya Caffee, Ester Cox, and Jean Phillips.
