Son of the late Gregory and Elizabeth Bowles. Loving and devoted father of Maureen Vanravens and her husband Ed and Darryl Bowles and his wife Luisa. He is the adored Grampie of Joshua, Jessica, Marissa and Cassandra. Donald will be fondly remembered by the mother of his children Frances Mary. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Norma and her husband Bob and by his brother David and his friend Nancy, also by his nieces Donna and Tracy and their families. Don was retired from Stelco after serving 35 years of dedicated work. Don enjoyed his time running along the escarpment in the early hours of the morning while greeting his friends along the way. Don will always be remembered for going out of his way to do anything for his children, family and friends. The Saturday morning chats and caring ways will be deeply missed by his daughter as well as his mentoring and enduring friendship to his son. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial donations in Don's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
