She died at the Taylor County Hospital Monday morning, August 25th. She entered the hospital two days earlier. She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was an employee of the Taylor County Hospital. She was united in marriage to Mr. Gilbert Lee Franklin in December, 1928. He preceded her in death, January 22, 1943. To this union four sons and one daughter were born. Surviving are: Norman Lee Franklin, Cletus Gilbert Franklin, and Mrs. D. C. (Shirley) Phillips, all of Campbellsville; and Garnett Allen Franklin of Louisville. Besides her children, she is also survived by four grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, Mr. Omer L. Farris, Mrs. Lettie Bridges and Mrs. Herman Stubbs, all of Campbellsville; Mrs. Lucille Buster of Lebanon; Mr. Samuel A. Farris of Louisville; and Mr. Robert L. Farris of Rockford, Illinois. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, August 27 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Marshall Black. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were: J. R. Bohanon, Glenn Smith, Jerry Spalding, J. W. McFarland, Junior and Samuel Lee Crawley.
