I am looking for information about my wife's g-g-grandmother, Hepsie Ann DENNY [b. abt 1834 in Preble (Co), OH, d. 30 Jan 1897 in Kokomo, Howard Co, IN]. She is buried in the Crown Point Cemetery in Kokomo. She married John SWINEY [b. 1823 in Pulaski (Co), KY, d. 12 Nov 1909 in Windsor, Shelby Co., IL] on 2 Jul 1857 in Johnson Co, IN. He, too, is buried in Crown Point Cemetery, IN. When we visited their grave site, we found that they did not have grave stones. We purchased stones to mark their graves. While digging the foundation for the stones, the workers unearthed Hepsie's original marker, an diamond shaped stone engraved "H. Ann Swiney." We believe her father to be Jesse DENNY [b. 20 Jan 1804 in North Carolina, d. 28 Feb 1865 in Johnson Co, IN] and her mother Ona BOWLES [b. 15 Dec 1802 in Person Co,, NC, d. 3 Aug 1865 in Johnson Co., IN].
