Wayne, I will copy below what I have on John Bowles of Orange Co. I don't have as much documentation on this line, except for a number of land records most of what I have is second hand. This family also was heavily involved in the early Presbyterian movement in the Orange Co. area which strongly suggests that they were related to the Thomas Bowles line I previously posted. And while I have nothing to prove it, I think both of these Orange Co. lines were related to the William Bowles line that settled in Stokes Co. NC. The Foss name is not familiar to me, but I may have something on Henderson. I will have to search my Bowles files to see what I can find.
