Governor, or Chief Magistrate of the commonwealth in the sum of one hundred & fifty dollar current money of Virginia to the payment where of well and truly to be made to the said Governor. or to his successor, for the use of the said commonwealth, we bind ourselves & each of us, & to each of our Heirs, Executors & Administrators jointly & severally, firmly by those presents ? with our seals & dated this 27th day of December 1800. The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had & solemnized between the above born Joseph Bowles and Nancey Bolling.
