Hi Charles, Just wanted to let you know that I sent my brothers kit in last Thursday ,May 25, so it should be arriving to Family tree DNA at any time now. So far I have not met anyone from my Bowles line on this mailing list so I will be curious to see what this adds to the mix. If anyone there has Ohio Bowles I would like to communicate. Mine came from England in1855. Randi Charles Hartley <hartley@iglou.com> wrote:Since I last reported to you, we have four new sets of results. The first one is #6532 who is an addition to our project from an older one. It has been moved to us and the 13-25 marker update has been ordered on it because it matches 12/12 so far with our group #1 (kits #29356, #29524, #29596). Today we received three additional 12 marker sets. Kit #34892 matches 12/12 with kit #30986. This was expected since they both claim to descend from John and Celia Bowles. Kit #34904 matches 12/12 with kits #29409 and #30760. This is promising since all three seem to rise out of the Henry/Franklin Counties region of Virginia. Kit #35029 appears to be a new line. This is confusing since it is supposed to descend from Thomas and Sarah Holman Bowles, as is kit #29596. But these two kits don't come close to matching. Naturally we will need to wait for the 13-25 sets of markers for these 4 kits before we can make more definite conclusions.
