In 1733 Isaac Bowles the son of James owned Comegies Fancy part of the Comegy Farm that James brother John purchased in 1690. In 1733 James Bowles and his son John owned "Bowlstone" the land that was surveyed to his grandfather John in 1672. On 6 March 1690 John Bowles purchased from Cornelius Comegs and his wife Rebecca 300 acres called Comeggys Farms. On 7 May 1691 John Bowles of Kent County conveyed to his brother Isaac Bowles and Mary his wife of the same county, and after their decease to Isaac Bowles, Jr., the son of James Bowles and Mary Bowles, 2/3 of a tract of 300 acres called Comeggys Farm lately in the occupation of Cornelius Comegys, of Kent Co Gentleman, and now in the occupation of Isaac Bowles. John Bowles m Margaret McNeill Sept. 4, 170- Kent Co Md The estate of Margrett Bowles was admin. on Nov 1710 and 6 Nov 1711 by Francis Meeks. CALENDAR OF WILL, Vol 3 John Bowles Talbot County 11 Jan 1702, proven Aug 1703 John Bowles son of Isaac Bowles married Margaret McNeil, Sept 4, 1700. This was not John's first marriage. John had a daughter before he married Margaret, no sons listed in his will 1702. I believe John Bowles dec'd by Oct 28,1702 and John Bowles who wrote his will dated Jan 11,1702 are the same person. McNeil and MacCraw are Irish names. I also believe John Boles ,Jr bapt. Feb.13,1703/4 is the son of John Bowles and Margaret McNeil. Now we have five generations between about 1580 and 1703. (John, John, Isaac, John, and John). Leathel, Dennis Maccraw, 30 acs., James City Co., 28 Oct 1702, p 509. Escheated from JOHN BOWLES, dec'd., by inquisition under John Lightfoot, Esqr., Esch'r., &c.
