Shively and Hesta Newcomb. Funeral services were held at the Mount Zion Methodist Church in Taylor County Tuesday, July 30 at 2:30 p.m. (CST) with the Rev. D. A. Peyton in charge of the services. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mr. Shively united in marriage to Emma Rebecca Bowles, on March 31, 1887, and to this union seven children were born. Two of the children are deceased. Mrs. Shively preceded her husband in death December 31, 1928. The two children deceased are Willie Shively and Lula Dicherson. Mr. Shively was united in marriage to Susie Blankenship on January 29, 1930. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Susie B. Shively; one son, Robert C. of Taylor County; four daughters, Mrs. William E. Sparrow, Route 1, City; Mrs. Annie E. Harmon, Route 4, Campbellsvill! e; Mrs. J. D. Sharp, Route 1, Spurlington; and Mrs. C. W. Baldock, of Liberty, Kentucky; also 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Mr. Shively had seven sisters and five brothers deceased. Pallbearers were his grandsons.
