B. Allen and Mrs. Daisy L. Benningfield Allen, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, July 11, 1904. She died at 3:45 p.m., Monday, May 31st in the Rosary Hospital in Campbellsville after a long illness. She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of Elkhorn Methodist Church, where she served as church organist for many years. Mrs. Benningfield also taught in the Taylor County Rural School System for some twenty-five years. She united in marriage to Mr. Ray Benningfield, May 7, 1929 and to this union one son was born: Randall Benningfield of Campbellsville, Route 2. Besides her husband and son, she is also survived by one granddaughter; four brothers and seven sisters: Joe Allen of Bowling Green; Paul Allen of West Chester, Ohio; Talbott Allen and Johnnie Allen, both of Louisville; Mrs. Gowdy Maupin, Mrs. Willard Dudgeon and Mrs. Bennie Richerson, al! l of Taylor County; Mrs. Mildred Benningfield, Mrs. William B. Bosse and Mrs. Louie Bowles, all of Louisville; and Mrs. Wade Moretz, of Roaring Branch, Pennsylvania. Funeral services were held in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home at 2 p.m., June 2, by Rev. Floyd Riddle and Dr. Harvey Morrison with burial in the Elkhorn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Samuel Benningfield, Samuel Murrah, Murrell Raffety, Murrell Cox, Reed St. Clair, and Harlan Beck.
