Chester Badgett. Burial was in Brookside. She died Wednesday at home at 8:30 p.m. Mrs. Franklin was born in Taylor County in the Palestine Community, daughter of the late Nancy Jane Newton and James David Bowles. She lived with her daughter, Mrs. Roxana Bowles on Rt. 2, and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She suffered a stroke sometime ago and has been in ill health for several months. She was married to Jessie Franklin who died in 1928. Her only survivor is her daughter, Mrs. Roxanna (Theodore) Bowles. Pallbearers were J. Robert Sublett, Doyle Hiestan, Eugene Taylor, W. C. Pike, Sam Newton, and Kenneth Webb.
