Boles, died suddenly at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Williams, at 9:30 p.m. Saturday September 6th, ages 23 years, 5 months and 12 days. Funeral services under direction of Robertson Bros, Undertakers were held Monday afternoon at the Christian church afternoon by her pastor, Dr. Lhamon, with interment in the city cemetery. The deceased leaves her parents, husband and little three year old son, besides other relatives and many friends to mourn her untimely departure. Mrs. Boles had been in poor health for a number of years, but her sudden demise was a great shock to relatives and friends. (Dorland) Boles; married Ida Bell Schrunk 1 Sep 1904 - 10 Aug 1998] Ed Boles, 76, Chadwick, died at 3:15 a.m. Monday in his home. He was a retired farmers and stockman and a World War I veteran. Mr. Boles was a member of the Sparta Masonic Lodge, a director of the REA, a retired member of the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation services, served on the Chadwick Board of Education and was a member of the board that organized the city water system. Survivors include his wife, Ida; a son, Robert, Manchester, a niece, raised in the home, Mrs. Doris Hall, Olympia, Wash.; a brother, Raymond, Jacksonville, Fla. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Harris Chapel here with the Rev. Clifford Browne and Elder Francis Schrunk officiating. Masonic rites were conducted by Sparta Lodge 296 in Chadwick Cemetery. Boles, Ida Bell (Schrunk) 1 Sep 1904 - 10 Aug 1998 CCH-N 9 Sep 1998 [Note: Daughter of John & Mabel (Gull) Schrunk ; married Ed Boles] Ida Bell was born on Thursday, September 1, 1904 to John and Mabel (Gull) Schrunk in Ewing, Nebraska. She passed away on Monday, August 10, at a Lit'1 Bit Country Private Care in Sparta. Ida was married to Ed Boles who preceded her in death. She was a teacher and homemaker. She resided in and near the Chadwick community most of her life. Ida was a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints. She loved gardening and flowers. Ida is survived by her son, Bob and wife Katie of Manchester, one brother, John Schrunk, Denver, Colorado; four sisters: Lusetta of Portland, Oregon; Pearl of Nebraska; Mabel of Inman, Nebraska; and Lois of Carthage, many nieces and nephew as well many friends. Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, August 13, at Harris, a Heritage Funeral Home, Ozark with a memorial service on Friday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was private at Chadwick Memorial Cemetery, Chadwick. Donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of the Ozarks in Ida's name. Boles, Ida Susan (Dorland) 16 Jun 1875 - 30 Oct 1938 CCR 3 Nov 1938 p8 [Note: Daughter of James M. "Cap" & Sarah Mary (Felts) Dorland; married 23 Aug 1891 John W. Boles 11 Jan 1868 - 3 Oct 1933] Ida Susan Dorland Boles was born near Garrison, Missouri, June 16, 1875 and departed this life Sunday, October 30, 1938 at the age of 63 years, 4 months and 14 days. She died at her home in Chadwick, Missouri, where she had lived since her marriage. She was baptized into the Christian church of Barber in the year 1887, and had remained a member of that church until her death. She was united in marriage to John W. Boles, August 23 1891, who preceded her in death October 3, 1933. To this union five children were born, two preceding her in death, an infant daughter, and Eva 13 months old; three sons survive, Ed, Charley and Buster, all of Chadwick; three grandchildren, Doris, Bobby and Peggy June; one brother, Isam Dorland of Sapulpa, OK, also she leaves a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the Chadwick Union church by Bro. Day with burial in the Chadwick cemetery under direction of T. B. Chaffin of Ozark. Boles, John W. 11 Jan 1868 - 3 Oct 1933 CCR 5 Oct 1933 p1 [Note: married Ida Susan Dorland 16 Jun 1875 - 30 Oct 1938] John Boles, 66, prominent Chadwick resident died at a Springfield hospital Tuesday as the result of injuries received a week ago in an automobile accident south of Chadwick. Mr. Boles, who was the Chadwick agent for the Cantrell Oil Company of Springfield, and O.B. Jarman, driver of the Cantrell Oil truck, were speeding along the farm-to-market road south of Chadwick when the car left the highway, struck a gravel bank and turned over. Boles was seriously injured and immediately was rushed to a Springfield hospital. Mr. Boles has been prominent in the civic and political affairs of the southeast part of the county and Chadwick for many years. He has served as Republican precinct committeeman from Chadwick township for a long time. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Union church in Chadwick. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Ida Boles, of Chadwick; three sons, Ed, Charley, and Raymond Boles, all of Chadwick; his mother, Mrs. Emmaline Boles of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a brother, Henry Boles, also of Broken Arrow; and two sisters, Mrs. Lue White of Miami, Mo., and Mrs. Nan Wilson of Lake Port, Calif. Mac enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife Sandy and family and friends of Star 248 Branson motorcycle club. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandra; his daughter, Shelly Boles, Springfield; his mother, Dorothy Boles, Springfield; his two brothers, Mike Boles, Ozark, and Randy, Marionville; a sister, Jan Hicks, Strafford; and numerous cousins and nieces and nephews. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were at 4 p.m. Sunday., March 27 in the Sparta Cemetery under the direction of Harris of Ozark. (Dorland) Boles; married Juanita] Raymond Dewitt "Buster" Boles died at 3 a.m. March 9 in a Jacksonville, Florida hospital. Mr. Boles was born June 19, 1911, the son of John and Ida Boles of Chadwick. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Juanita, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Peggy June of Las Vegas, Arizona, and Patsie; of Florida; one son, Ray Carol Boles, who currently serves with the U.S. Navy; four stepchildren; one niece, Doris Hall, Quartzite, Arizona; one nephew, Robert Boles, Manchester, Missouri; and several grandchildren. Lambert, Kay (Boles) 3 Apr 1950 - 6 Dec 2007 SN-L 8 Dec 2007 [Note: Daughter of Charles Vestine & Inez (Smith) Boles] Kay Lambert, age 57, of Ozark, Mo., died Thursday, December 6, 2007. She was born April 3, 1950 in Tuskegee, Alabama, the daughter of Charles Vestine and Inez (Smith) Boles. Kay enjoyed painting. She also liked going to garage sales, where she was able to use her acute bargain finding skills. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother and adored her grandson. Survivors include: her companion, Oliver Leonard, Branson, Mo.; her daughter, Kimberly Dunn and husband, Robert, Ozark; her grandson, Dillon Dunn, Ozark; a brother, Charles "Teen" Boles, Magee, Miss.; and two sisters, Ramona "Toot" Sullivan, Magee, Miss., and Teresa Latendress, North Carolina. Kay was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at James River Assembly of God, Ozark. Cremation under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Morton , Vera Gladys (Boles) 14 Mar 1920 - 8 Mar 2006 SN-L 10 Mar 2006 [Note: Daughter of Robert Thomas &Vida Emma (West) Boles] Vera Morton was born March 14, 1920, to Robert Thomas Boles and Vida Emma (West) Boles in Koshkonong, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on March 8, 2006, after a brief illness. Vera was a graduate of Burge School of Nursing in 1942. She was married to Frank Remington Morton May 12, 1944. To this union were born two daughters, Janice Olivia and Karen Sue. Vera was a nurse in Bremerton, Washington, during World War II. She most enjoyed being a homemaker and a mother. Her roses were the pride of the neighborhood and she was active in PTA, Bluebirds and Campfire Girls when her daughters were young. In 1963 she completed a refresher course in nursing and returned to St. John's Hospital as a charge nurse for a brief period and followed that as a plant nurse at Dayco. She assisted her husband at the Buck Morton Drug Company for a number of years as well. Vera was a fierce and competitive bridge player and was an avid golf fan. She enjoyed reading, and most of all, being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who died July 27, 1994; four brothers, Kenneth, Wesley, Teddy and Marvin; and two sisters, Vivian and Velma. She is survived by her sister, Marie Dorrell, Warsaw, Mo.; daughters, Janice Morton Throop and husband, Dan, Forsyth, Mo., and Karen Morton Yancey and husband, David, Springfield; grandchildren, Ryan Lee Peebles, Charlottesville, Va., Joy Lynn Wolf and husband, Jim, Springfield, Robin Remington Yancey, Fayetteville, Ark.; and seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Dr. Randy Halley and the staff at Ozark Riverview Manor for the loving care she received over the last three years. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today, March 10, 2006, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the Brentwood Chapel.
