    3. I saw this in the Dick Eastman Newsletter. You might send it out to your list. The DAR has created several online databases that are available to the general public. It is known as the DAR Genealogical Research System. I encourage you to visit the various databases to add to your research. The link to the databases is: http://www.dar.org/library/online_research.cfm

    3. Bill, thanks a lot. I have already received this and sent it to Don. As a member of the DAR I knew about it but this makes it much easier to find.   Don keeps calling Margaret's descendants but has had no reply. He and Sue are going to go see if they can find a cemetery next week. I told him to try the funeral homes and the library to see if they have any info. I am sure glad that you found that and that I rediscovered that paper where Grandpa Speer wrote where all of his grandparents were buried. I could shoot Daddy for some of the things he used to do., changing the genealogy to suit himself.   I have been busy and have not had time to look at my Speer data but promise that I will. Don keeps putting info in the database, so I keep feeding it to him. Better him doing it than me. He keeps asking, with all of those Yankee ancestors, what are we doing in Texas? I used to write ten or eleven letters a night trying ti find info back 30 years ago, and now all you have to do is turn on the computer. Sure makes it easier.   Thanks again for your wonderful help, and hope you have a happy thanksgiving, and I hope those stupid Cowboys come out with the good team, not the bad one. You never know with them!!!   Joyce I --- On Tue, 11/24/09, Bill Lewis <bill-lewis@sbcglobal.net> wrote: From: Bill Lewis <bill-lewis@sbcglobal.net> Subject: [BOWLES] DAR Info on line To: bowles@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 6:42 AM I saw this in the Dick Eastman Newsletter.  You might send it out to your list.
