Born on May 23rd, 1920, in PEI, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Patricia (MacDonald) MacNeill. Eileen for many years was an active member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church; she served as minister of the Eucharist and was past president of the CWL. She also delivered "Meals on Wheels". In midlife Eileen enjoyed a successful career in real estate. She loved to play bridge, and have her family near. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Linda Hubbard of Fredericton; four sons, Douglas Roy (Linda) of Grand Bay, David (Jane) of New Maryland, Michael (Allison) of Fredericton and Daniel (Jennifer) of Scarborough, ON; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Church of Montreal, PQ, Lena Bowles (Desmond) of Ottawa, ON, Kathleen Stuewe (Richard) of Liverpool, NS; one brother, Edgar MacNeill (Mary) of Montreal, PQ and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Gertrude MacNeill and two brothers, John Joseph and Wilfred MacNeill. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, April 10th, 2008 at 12 noon with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the charity of the donor's choice, and would be appreciated by the family.
