Born Aug. 25, 1914, in Rhea County, she was the daughter of Jack and Maude Boles, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a member of Spring City Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, John Chester Dodson; sons, Chester Allen Dodson and Donald Dodson; and grandson, Tony Dodson. Survivors include brother, Harley Boles of Spring City; sister, Helen Etheridge of Mount Juliet; sons and daughters-in-law, Noal Dodson and Eddie and Barbara Dodson, all of Spring City, and Clark and Bonnie Dodson of Ten Mile; daughter-in-law, Ilene Dodson of Spring City; grandsons, Scotty Dodson of Spring City and David Dodson of Ten Mile; granddaughter, Donna Knox of Spring City; two stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral service was at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Evans Mortuary chapel, Rockwood, with Minister Sam Beavers officiating. Graveside service and burial were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Glen Alice Cemetery, Rockwood.
