He was born February 2, 1934 in Wolf Lake, Il. to Lloyd Hale and Florence (Davis) Hale. He married Linda (Childers) Hale on November 12, 1983 in Marion. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Pittsburg; 3 sons, Larry Hale and wife, Cathy of Romeoville, Il., Darrell Hale and wife, Patti of Downers Grove, Il. and Owen Stone of Percy, Il.; 2 daughters, Sandy Turner and husband, J.R. of McAlester, Ok. and Teresa Boles and husband, Greg of Marion; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pat Huffman. He was a retired truck driver and a long time member of the Oleo Bird Club in Pittsburg. Doyle served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a P.O.W.. It was his wish to be cremated. Memorial services will Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Pittsburg, Il. with Rev. Andy Lee and Rev. Stan Serati officiating. Interment of ashes with Military Rites by the West Frankfort V.F.W. and the Orient and Zeigler American Legions will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the church and funeral home =====================================================
