Watertown: Ingalls & Stowells-Steam Press ............. 1852 A small synopsis given with the photo: "Title page of the biography of soldier Charles Bowles. This book, written several years after he died, details Bowles' activities as a Free Will Baptist minister. It is the only known contemporary biography for a black soldier of New Hampshire."
