I can't tell you much about Jane Bowles' attire, but draw back the years and I bet you can see that she was quite good looking as a young lady. And the hint of a smile leads me to think that she hadn't lost any of her charm. Even though her fingers were arthritic, she didn't allow vanity to make her hide them. I would like to have known her.
