This seems to be my ancestors except I do not have a James Bowles. You would think it would be in the 1850 Census in Pennsylvania with his parents and brothers and sisters. Since he started teaching at age 16, maybe he was away from home. I have Margeret b. 1828; Robert b. 19 Sep 1829 PA d. 29 Oct 1903 Livingston Co., MO wife Caroline Miller (They were both buried in Missouri. I have a picture of their gravestone; Ross b 1831 PA; Catharine b 1833 PA; Bella b 1834 PA; Crawford b 1830 PA. ( also have an Eleanor Bowles b. 1821 MD.I am not sure where I got that information).
