W S LAINE moved from Bearallow to the WINLOCK farm. John HATCHER has moved to the W P HATCHER home. Tom HALE moved from the Bearwallow country to the Owl Spring country. Jas. MUNDAY moved frm the John F ROGERS' farm near Big Meadow Church to the Dr. WINLOCK farm, near Hiseville. Jas. M. STAFFORD ... Spring country to his ___ which he bought of Rev. F G LEWIS of Hiseville. Lee CALLAHAN has moved from Hiseville to his new home near Edmonton. (Whew!) Various areas in the count: Blan READ bought a lot of hogs from E W DUFF of Coral Hill. H S SANDERS of Hiseville has 20 good shoats for sale, average of 75 lbs. W M STICE of Coral Hill sold 50 acres of land in the Park section to H T WOODWARD for $900. W E DOWNING of Fountain Run has 50 head of steers, calves and 800-lb steers for sale. John H MARTIN, black, of Glasgow, has a sow and eight pigs for sale or will trade for a cow. H H BOWLES, near Hiseville, sold a good ___ (piece missing, we'll never know!). The personal property of J E BEEBEE, deceased, will be sold at his home at Echo, Jan 18th, including horses, cattle, etc. N B EDWARDS of Hiseville has a young heifer that will be fresh in a few days and a suckling calf for sale. E M BRANSTETTER of near Seymour, has lately sold Ad MARTIN, black, a tract of land lying near Mt Zion Church for $15 an acre. W D MYERS of Hiseville country, shipped a crop of old burley tobacco to Louisville some time ago and has just received a return of $5.75 for it. Messrs PACE & DAVIS of Marrowbone have purchased a fine 15 1/2 black jack from Boyle Co parties, will stand him at Marrowbone this season - said to be one of the finest jacks ever brought to this section. Henry MUNDAY, formerly of this county but has for several years has been living near Franklin in Simpson Co, has bought the Jas MISE farm near Knob Lick in Metcalfe Co and will more in the near future. Tom W PEMBERTON has bought the cottage-residence of Geo R. SMITH on the pike now occupied by Gus MORRIS for $1,400. Pemberton yesterday sold the place to W D DICKINSON for $1500 who will occupy it at once. Wm WOOD offers his home on Washington street in Glasgow where he formerly resided for sale. This is one of the most attractive and comfortable cottage homes in Glasgow; he should have no trouble in selling it. 1/1/1898 Beckton news: Miss Clara EDMUNDS is home from school for a few days. Miss Fannie GILLOCK of Rocky Hill is visiting Misses Clara and Alice EDMUNDS. Haiden HOLMAN was visiting his parents here Tuesday & meeting his friends. Miss Anna PAGE is at home from Glasgow where she attended Prof. TURNER's school. Mr. PETTY who is a good, clever citizen, has moved with his family to the W H ANDERSON farm near here. Charles DUVALL has shipped about 700 rabbits since the season opened and there are fully 1,400 more here yet. Mr PRICE and Ron/Rom BARRICK have been plowing all during Christmas, some farmers are done turning corn land already. to be continued next week.
