A native of New Orleans, she had been a lifelong resident of Houston. Survivors include: Son, Jim Matthews, Texola, Okla.; sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Monroe, Fayetville, Texas, Mrs. Dorine Dehnert, LaGrange, Texas and Mrs. Ellen Dealy, Houston; brothers, Harry, Jack and Bill Bowles, all of Houston; and two grandchildren. Services 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, St. Michaels Catholic church with The Rev. John C. Perusina officiating. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
