OTIS "SARG" - age 77 of Harriman, passed away Sunday February 17, 2008 at Roane Medical Center. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Sargent retired from the TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plaint. He was a member of Childs Memorial Church in Harriman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Pernia Cromwell Sargent, one brother, Charles "Bob" Sargent and one sister, Reba Pauline Farr. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Josia Wright Sargent; four daughters and three sons in law, Debbie & Donnie Barbra of Maryville, Judy Stewart of Johnson City, Sharon & Robert Bowles of Rockwood and Pam & Mike Taylor of Harriman; four sons and two daughters in law, Doug Sargent of Harriman, Jimmy Sargent of Atlanta, GA, David & Melissa Sargent of Crossville and Kevin & Charity Sargent of Harriman; one sister, Gladys Farr of Nashville; seventeen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends Thursday February 21, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Hensley officiating. Graveside services will be Friday February 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Childs Memorial Cemetery.
