Hello. I see a lot of Bowles researchers on the list from our lovely southern states. Are any of you working on where and when your people came from? My Bowles group came from England late in the game,1855, and settled in Ohio. I am having a lot of trouble finding a point of origin in England. They are not on any of the ship immigration lists that I have researched and I have tried a wider year span and many spellings of the name Bowles, but still no Richard, Diana, William and George. They are on the US. Fed Census in Huron Co. Ohio in 1860 and there son George was born in England in 1854 so it narrows the time frame. So anyone who is researching Bowles in England please email me !!!!!! I thought I had my ggrandpa George but after I sent to England for the birth certificate ,I found it was the wrong Bowles family. Hi Randi. Can I suggest you try www.genesreunited .com this is a UK site, that is used for TV geneaology Programs. Used it to find my only Bowles line fron 1760.
