Yes Gracie, both of those marriages were in Franklin Co,Va.The PRESTON'S were Quaker's in Calvert Co,Md. And I believe the Bolling's were too? What I'm getting at is these people in Franklin Co seem to have been in Calvert Co,Md at some time. I have tracked these people from Md through Carolina, Spotsylvania counties in Va before Franklin Co and other counties in Va. The reason I asked the question about William Bowles in Carolina Co is because the pension for Betsy Bowles, wife of George Bowles was in the name of Betsy BOWLER.There might be a reason for that? Maybe he was a Bowles born BOWLER then back to Bowles? Something to think about? William was a BOWLER in Carolina Co,Va.
