Richard Jesse BROWN (1859-1935) & Mary Jane BOWLES (1863-1833) I'm not a Bowles descendant myself, but I have some information on this family in Davie Co. and would be happy to share. I'm trying to build a database of all of Davie Co., centering on the 1850 census. However, I don't know who the parents of Mary Jane Bowles Brown were. If anybody can supply that information, it would be very helpful. She was born 12 Aug 1863, died 19 Feb 1933, and is buried at Center United Methodist church in Davie County. James Hanson BROWN (1850-1941) & Emma GLASSCOCK (1858-1951) Chalmers Stroud BROWN ( 1854-1935) & Lucy P. SHOAF (1858-1925) Mack D. BROWN (1863-1941) & Meekie Ann LEACH (1865-1971) These are all grandsons of Cannon Brown and Catherine Hendricks of Davie County. I'm descended from another grandson, William L. Brown, who has a lot of female descendants but no males with the Brown surname. The test requires scraping the inside of your cheek with a swab and mailing that back to the testing company; no blood is involved.
