Andrew at a Quaker Historical Library in Edenton, North Carolina (it is apparently hand written and the only copy of this book that exists) that details a group of families from Ablemarle County, NC (including Webbs, Bowles, Blaylocks, Reas, Evans, and Wilkersons, among others) who went west in the 1810's. There was one Bowles line in the far eastern area of NC that was part of the Quaker meeting around Pasquotank Co. NC. I suspect this is the line mentioned in the book described above. This Bowles line went west to Indiana along with a big Quaker migration out of NC. Albemarle Co. was an original NC county and was abolished in 1739. Pasquotank was established in 1668 and my county reference indicates that it replaced land that was previously Albemarle. I will copy some of what I have on this line below.
