Surviving are sons, Merton Tobias Jr. of Nashville, Gale of Battle Creek and Merle of Morton, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Leah) Tabiadon of Battle Creek; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Sarah Raymond of Gahanna, Ohio, and Mrs. Burdett (Mable) Kendall of Kalamazoo, and a brother, Leon Wood of Battle Creek. Rev. Lester DeGroote and Rev. Lawrence Bush officiated with burial in the Dowling cemetery. Her husband, Merton, 76, died Monday, August 1, at the Lakeview Hospital. She was born March 24, 1902 in Barry County, the daughter of Floyd and Flora (Gillespie) Wood. She was a member of the Nashville Baptist Church, the Briggs WSCS.
