Henry JARBOE in 1844, most of the children shown are obviously not theirs together. They are next found on the 1860 census in Redwood Twp, SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: H. JARBOE-42, b.KY, blacksmith *Mary-29, b.MS Francis-12, b.TX Louisa-10, b.TX Charles-3, b.CA John INGRAM-16, b.TX Daughter Mary M. INGRAM had married Lemuel P. COLLINS by then and her brother Travis J. INGRAM was living with them. Mary INGRAM JARBOE would have had to marry Mr. INGRAM / INGRAHAM before 1837, but he either died or they were divorced by 1844. The only INGRAM I can find in Harris Co, TX at that time was Robert C. INGRAHAM who apparently had MANY wives! There’Äôs record of his DIVORCING Elizabeth BOWLES in 1841 in Houston, Harris Co, TX (can’Äôt locate marriage record). There’Äôs record of him marrying Mary McDONALD on Mar 18, 1851 in Harris Co, TX There’Äôs record of him marrying Thillethay IVY (she was a BLACKWELL) on Jun 19, 1853 in Harris Co, TX And there’Äôs record of him marrying Mrs. A. E. T. OSTERN (Osteen?) on Jul 14, 1864 in Harris Co, TX A Mary Ingram was on the Harris Co, TX Tax List in 1844 - she was the only INGRAM / INGRAHAM listed. Robert C. INGRAHAM was on the 1846 Tax list, but Mary wasn't (she married Henry JARBOE in 1844). Was she married to Robert C. INGRAHAM or one of his relatives, etc.????
