    3. ===================================================================== Match: Boles Source: SCT-STIRLINGSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com From: Greenwood <scotquester@bartnet.net> Subject: Campsie Deaths 1732, 33, 85, 86 & 88 Campsie, Stirlingshire Deaths taken from handwritten Old Parish Records on microfilm at the local Family History Center. Death entries were not strictly Campsie only. This Introduction will preface each Post as they will all be accessible in the Archives of the Stirlingshire-L List at the end of the Rootsweb page : http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/intl/SCT/SCT-STIRLINGSHIRE.html Tight binding hampered filming, some letters therefore missing. Abbreviations written as seen, unexpanded [Wm, Jas, serv't], the dates were shortened by me [Jan, Feb]. CAPS are all mine, all question marks are mine, indicating an unclear word. Any phrases like ëno cause' & ëno age' are likewise not in the original record book. Occasionally a death would have no date. It has been noted by the phrase ëprevious date used'. These will be Posted one year at a time as I get them worked up. This will take awhile.......the film covers deaths from 1817 to 1854 with a few very early partial years of 1732, 1733, 1785, 1786 and 1788. Date posted in each listing is the Date of Death. My link to Campsie is Margaret MURRAY [previously MORROW in Donegal] who married George ALLAN in 1855 & lived in Lennoxtown until they moved to Glasgow about 1857. Their daughter Elizabeth ALLAN married William BRADDEN in Glasgow. Their daughter Agnes BRYDEN married William HALCROW in New York City, USA. Their middle daughter is my mother. Meg Greenwood / Oklahoma USA < scotquester@bartnet.net > The records in this Post are partial year entries for 1732 and 33, plus 1785, 86 and 88. The handwriting was very hard to read, some handwriting rolled into the tight binding making it unviewable. Only a few early pages were filmed, there are no more Death entries from the 1700s besides the years I'm Posting today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Campsie Deaths 1732 - BELL, Marjory, Gentlewoman? -8 years [first number obscured] by a Consumption.
