Silas Boles born April 28, 1819 in New York and died April 3, 1900 in Guthrie, Guthrie County, Iowa. He married Martha L. Spears, she was born April 25, 1823 in Trumble County, OH, and died Dec 24, 1895 in Guthrie, Guthrie County, Iowa. They had 4 children: Mary E. Boles ( my great grandmother) born March 11, 1848, Michigan: d. April 30,1900 Guthrie, Guthrie County, Iowa. Helen Amelia Boles b. 1849 Irvin S. Boles b. Dec 1844-Became a doctor after e served in the Civil War. Clara Boles b. 1859 Benton Iowa, died Jan 19, 1889 Guthrie, Guthrie County, Iowa.
