As of this moment we have 14 participants with 11 kits returned to Family Tree DNA. Of the 11 returned kits, we have Y-DNA results on two. These are posted at our project website at [http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gensoup/bowlesdna.html]. Of our 14 participants, 1 ordered the DNA Plus Kit which includes the 37 marker Y-DNA test, 11 have ordered the 25 marker kit, and 2 ordered the 12 marker kit. The lab at Family Tree DNA posts results for the first 12 markers of any Y-DNA test before they post the remaining markers. For that reason if you order the 25 marker (or higher) kit, you will get your results in batches. For those whose kits were received by Family Tree DNA on or before 7 Jan 2005, I anticipate getting your 12 marker results this week or early next week. Your 13-25 marker results should arrive a week or so after that. Remember however that the testing procedure is very exact, and may take a bit longer in some cases. For those whose kits were received later in January, you can probably expect to see your first results near the end of February or the first week of March. Regarding the two results that have come in thus far, it is obvious from looking at them that they do not match, so we already have two distinct groups of Bowles ancestors. It will be interesting to see what arrives during the next few weeks.
