Ringer" <raringer@melbpc.org.au> Subject: Bunwell One of the most frustrating things for me is the knowledge that the Buxton Papers which includes information on many of the places I am researching and that they are not able to be accessed here in Australia. These are held in the Camridge University Library. I have just been reading L.D.S. Film 45221 which contains a partial index of these papers which was abandoned in 1924 when the author moved. However here is a gem . I will enter Carleton (Rode) which is much longer later> BUXTON DOCUMENTS These were transcribed in 1924 and are a bit piecemeal but have this interesting piece. Box 86 Book 1 Surveys of Bunwell and Carleton were made by John Brew surveyor. Every holding, whether house or land is given in geographical order with name of Ocupier.
