Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Palestine Baptist Church by Rev. Burton Callico, assisted by Rev. D. T. Jones and burial was in the Palestine church cemetery. He was a native of Taylor County and was born here on May 29, 1876. He made a profession of faith in Christ early in life and lived a devoted member of the Palestine Baptist Church. He was married to Miss Annie Tandy, October 25, 1905 and to this union two sons and three daughters were born. He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Miss Bonnie Wilson, Mrs. James England, and Mrs. B. J. Vance, all of Taylor County; one son, Harold Wilson, also of this county two brothers, Icilus Wilson and R. H. Wilson, both of Taylor County; one sister, Mrs. C. N. Strong; one grandchild. Active pallbearers were Omer Smith, Earl Smith, Jessie Sullivan, Ira Wise, Ira England, and C. C. Squires. Honorary pallbearers were O. L. Caffee, Bob Fisher, Charles Bowles, Mark Richerson, D. W. Hay and Forrest Maupin.
