The following transcription is of a Barren County KY 1880 deed that appears to identify by name almost all of the children of Thomas T. and Mary Brown Bowles. ------------ Barren County KY Deed Book 20, Page 540 This Indenture made & entered into this 20th day of March 1880 between Mary Bowles, Jane Lessenberry, William Bowles, John Bowles & his wife, Thomas Bowles & his wife, & Joseph Bowles, Henry Boles & his wife, & Peter Bowles & his wife, A. J Burnett & Mary Burnett his wife parties of the first part & J. F. G. Winlock of the second part, all of the county of Barren, state of Ky. witnesseth: that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to us in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, we have this day sold and by these presents do hereby sell, alien & convey to the party of the second part J. F. G. Winlock the following described tract of land, to wit: Beginning eighty poles on the line of Charles Burnett to two sassafras & black gum, thence S 70 E 48 poles to a sassafras, thence to the line of Austin Foster, within twenty poles fo the corner sugartree sold to John H. Cann by Thomas T. Bowles decd, to have & to hold unto the said Winlock, his heirs & assigns percoer(?) with covenent of general warranty. Delila Bowles, wife of Peter Bowles, Margaret E. Bowles, wife of John Bowles, Tabbie L. Bowles, wife of Thomas Bowles, Mary E. Bowles, wife of Henry Bowles, Mary Burnett, wife of A. J. Burnett hereby especially waive & relinquish all their right to a homestead an to dower in & to the above conveyed premises. Given under our hands the day & date first above written. Hodge an acting deputy for W. W. Franklin a former clerk of this court, as appears by said deputy's endorsement thereon as follows to wit: Barren County Ky Aprile 6th 1880 acknowledged by P. M. Bowles & wife Delila Bowls, John B. Bowles, Margaret E. Bowles, Tabbie Bowles, Mary M. Bowles and others all separate and apart from their husbands, W. W. Franklin CBCC per D. M Hodge DC. The same was filed on this day to be and is with this certificate recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 2nd day of Oct 1885 C. C.
