HELLO TOM Your story of how you started looking for dear old grandpa is almost identical to yours. The family said we were English then they said no we were Irish. Where we differ is in the spelling of the name my line uses BOLES and I am a direct descendant. My line starts with a ROBERT, JOHN, AND SKELTON BOLES who came to Canada and settled in New Brunswick Canadad before migrating to the USA. The will of John Boles connected the three brothers and listed their children. So I have been trying to follow their living places but have not found the brothers father. There was a HUGH BOLES b. 1796 that was in Canada and a genealogist assumed him to be the father. Yet the will says brother [unless that is an error] Pardon me I didn't mean to get on a story telling jag. I just wanted to compliment you on your site and wish I could connect to you.
