Andros, Sept.6,1679 ; Documentary History of Maine, iv,386, from a copy in the Massachusetts Archives.,iii.36 - A letter to Thomas Lake of London from Mrs. Mehitalbe Warren and Elisha Hutchinson, dated at Boston, 20 June 1687, states that Sir Edmond Andros soon after the war gave the permission to about 20 families to settle on the lower end of Arrowsic Island but without ownership and that certain of these had now been given patents at Nequasset (Woolwich) by Gov.
