Suzie Bowles Published: Thursday, June 12, 2008, Carmi Times LOUISIANA Suzie Bowles, 54, Patterson, La., died Sunday, May 25, 2008. She was born July 22, 1953 in McLeansboro, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Trout) Sandusky. She attended McLeansboro High School, graduating in 1971. Suzie leaves behind a legacy of love. She had the amazing ability to make everyone who knew her better through her tender words and thoughtful deeds. Suzie was the first to offer a cheerful word to those feeling sad or a helping hand to those in need. She enjoyed 18 years of marriage to Bob and together they shared countless wonderful experiences on their journey through life together. Suzie was a diverse woman who enjoyed much of what life had to offer, concerts, NASCAR, backyard barbecues and quiet evenings at the house with her husband, Bob. Through it all, Suzie lived her life with joyful abandon, taking what life had to offer with a laugh and a smile. To have known Suzie was a gift, to have called her a friend was a blessing and the memories of her are treasures that will last forever. Surviving is a stepson, Phillip Bowles, and his children, Austin, Page and Zachary; three stepdaughters, Keri McKnight and her son, Bryce, Joni Bowles, and Bobbi Bowles and her children, Christen, Lacy Kae and Isacc; one brother, Jerry Sandusky, and his children, John, Richard, Ashton and Cody; and three sisters, Patty Sandusky, Marcia Boxley and Carol Sandusky. Suzie is also survived by two dear friends, Mike and Gina Miller; a sister-in-law, Janet and Mike Mileham of Norris City; and a brother-in-law, Charlie and Shannon Bowles of New Haven. She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Tomoko Bowles. A service with immediate family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Plainview General Baptist Church east of Norris City, with a graveside service to follow at Little Prairie Cemetery near Maunie. =====================================================================
