I've just finished transcribing a portion of Phoebe (Bowles) Coats diary covering a visit to Missouri in May and June 1949 to see her cousins. Most of the ones she sees in the St. Louis, Missouri area are descendents of William Hearst Bowles. If you're still on this list Harry Sutcliffe, about the only one she didn't visit was your wife's parents. Perhaps they weren't alive or living in the area at the time.
