The child has not been buried yet this (Monday) morning, as the death of the mother is hourly expected. Mrs. Maggie GAULT is visiting her relatives near Dyesville this week. Mrs. Allie JORDAN is cooking for the bridge force, as Mrs. GAULT will move into their new home next week. A large number were in attendance at the telephone meeting held in the G. A. R. hall Saturday. Mrs. Hannah McCASKEY, of Parkers Run, is spending a few weeks with her daughter, Zetta WHITTINGTON. Carl SANSBURY, son of Arthur SANSBURY, cut a bad gash in his knee with a pen knife while whittling a stick. A large force of men began work Monday on the side track which will be lengthened to the crossing near the residence of Mrs. MOON. Dr. and Mrs. POINDEXTER left Monday for Cincinnati where Mrs. POINDEXTER, who is afflicted with a cancer, will take a course of treatment. George Farmer TURNER has been in very poor health for several weeks. The twin colts belonging to Sherman BOBO died. One died Saturday and the other Sunday. Worley HOWELL returned Saturday from a three weeks' visit with his sister, Mrs. SANSBURY, at Albany. Miss Vallie LOVE, who works in the central telephone office at Charleston, visited her parents here Saturday. Workmen are laying the foundation for the new residence of Mrs. Amine McKNIGHT. Clara, the little daughter of John FOLDEN, scalded her hand quite badly Friday while pouring boiling water out of a tea kettle. Rev. VORHEES filled his appointment in the new church Sunday evening. Mrs. Phebe FOLDEN was very sick part of last week with stomach trouble. Charley MURRAY, who has been staying all winter with his father-in-law, H. F. LOVE, moved his family to Middleport Monday. Robert SLEETH, Jr., of Langsville, who has been confined to the house since the first of March by sickness was calling on Dexter friends Saturday. Date DENNIS, of Middleport, was visiting his sister, Ora, on Parkers Run Sunday. Mrs. Sophronia HARMON is recovering from burns which she sustained several days ago. While cleaning the lamp before the fire the bottom fell out and in a moment her clothes were in flames. With rare presence of mind she got a piece of carpet and wrapped herself in it, smothering out the fire and thus preventing fatal injuries. Mrs. Hannah WILSON spent the first of the week with relatives at Middleport. James VONSCHRILTZ and wife of Rutland, spent Saturday with relatives here. Homer DAVIS moved his sawmill Tuesday to Walter AMOS' farm where they have a lot of timber to saw. Reva and Hildred, little daughters of Curt BOWLES, who were very sick last week, are about well again.
