Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the lateWilliam and Mary Ann (Cowan) Westerman. Mrs Stallard was a member of St.George's Anglican Church, Century Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She and her husband celebrated their 67th anniversary in May. Surviving besides her husband, Sydney, are four sons: Douglas, New Glasgow; Rev. Ronald, Cardston, Alta.; Sydney, MP, St. George's, Bermuda; Gordon, Comox, B.C.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Ada, in the United States; three step-sisters: Mrs Mary Smeltzer, Ontario; Rose (Mrs Don Bowles), Dartmouth; Jean Westerman, New Glasgow; a step-brother, Bill Westerman, New Glasgow. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary; two sisters, Ethel and Etta; two brothers, Jack and Harry; a step-brother, Ted. Her remains will rest at the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with visiting after 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. George's Anglican Church. Interment will be in the Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the VON or St. George's Anglican Church. (snip)
