Bellinda, I noticed that you mentioned Chief John Bowles who was supposedly killed within a few miles of where I live here in the Palestine, Texas area. My grandmother, Martha C. Bowles Collett was supposedly a descendant of Chief John Bowels but I have no proof of that. I have been looking for someone that might have information on Chief John Bowles.
