The Back River was in Elizabeth City Co then Norfolk Co (Lower Norfolk) now in Princess Anne.Now I guess you want to know who Elizabeth Southy was? First I don't know her maiden name, but she was the wife of Henry Southy. Henry Southy died in 1624 in James City Co leaving his wife Elizabeth and daughter Anna. I believe he had at least 2 daughters that were married at the time. Their husbands Thomas Brown and a Painter (Paynter), who were also dead in 1624.
