Hi, Thanks for more information. My head, again, starts to swim with all of the connections and possible connections. First I see the name of Margaret ROBINSON which is, possibly, my paternal 9th great grandmother, Margaret ROBINSON....don't know that with certainty though....just possibly. She was daughter of early 1600s immigrant, Richard ROBINSON, uncle of Christopher ROBINSON, Sr., and Richard ROBINSON was an early immigrant to the Tidewater area. Margaret ROBINSON married immigrant John PAYNE and their daughter, Margaret PAYNE, married 1st husband, immigrant John JENNINGS, my 9th great grandfather, whose 3rd great grandson who was my 3rd great grandfather, Bailey JENNINGS, married Kitty EARLE, who was the daughter of Tabitha WILLIAMS and Samuel EARLE, IV, (RS,) (2nd son of his name,) who was the son of (Major) Samuel EARLE, III and his 2nd wife, Elizabeth HOL(D)BROOK. (Major) Samuel EARLE, III was the great grandson of (Sir) John EARLE, immigrant, and his 1st wife, Mary SYM(M)ON(D)S, after whose death, (Sir) John EARLE married 2nd wife, Mrs. Elizabeth ? CAWSEY HOWELL, who later married William CLEMENT. And then other possible connection that I wonder about if there is a connection between the John BOWLES and Mrs. Elizabeth SOUTHEY/SOUTHELL CAWSEY/etc. and the Cherokee Cheif John BOWLES of North Carolina and other areas in the South including Missouri, Arkansas, and East Texas, born: Abt. 1750 in North Carolina, died: 1839 in East Texas. Cherokee Chief John BOWLES is said to have been the son of a Scottish trader and an Indian wife but since no one knows the name of that Scottish trader it is entirely possible that he wasn't Scottish or wasn't 100% Scottish and could be descended from this BOWLES family of 1600s Virginia. I have read of women being married to three different men in same week. I'm begining to wonder about Elizabeth? There is a John Lawren listed after Edward Bowles, not sure if Lawrence or Lawson. I believe Willian Bolton is William Batten from MD, John Bowles married his wife. If I remember right William had a son Coningham. Edward Bowles died in MD in 1659, he was a brother to John who married William Battens wife. John Bowles who married William Battens wife was a son of John Bowles who made will in Elizabeth City in 1664. John gave his son John all his land, some of the land belong to Anna a daughter of Elizabeth (Southy, Southell)Cawsey who was married to John Bowles in 1664.
