Charlie,my guess is that William H age 19, was the son of this William H Bowles. Franklin P. Bowles son of Austin Bowles had a son William A. Bowles. Franklin P. moved to Texas in Fannin Co., near Honey Grove. Austin Bowles was born 1799 and was oldest son of James Bowles listed in will 1828, in Bourbon Co, KY. There is a strong relation to the Barren Co Bowles. Austin is said to be of Irish descent. William T. Bowles, son of Henry Bowles of Bedford Co., VA, married Ann L. Harrison in Cabell Co., VA (now WV) in 1814 and lived in Hickman Co., KY. William T.'s youngest son was William H. (age 0-5 in 1830). His other children were Watson Buford Bowles (1820-1874) and Bradford Harrison Bowles (1824-1899), both of whom ended up in Texas. I have no idea what happened to William H.
