    3. ===================================================================== Match: Bowles Source: MDCHARLE-L@rootsweb.com From: "Linda Reno" <lindareno@comcast.net> Subject: Re: [MDCHARLE-L] Samuel Love "Linner Sheet" aka Lumbar Street Good morning, I went back to the sources from which I got the information provided yesterday. 5/2/1726: Samuel Tennison of SMC and his wife Elizabeth conveyed pt. of "Westwood Manor", 100 ac. and "Lumber Street", 100 ac. (Early Settlers of Chas. Co., Bates). Rechecked and confirmed. NOTE: This is an abstract of the deed below. 5/2/1726: Deed from Samuel Tennison of SMC to Samuel Love of CC, carpenter, pt. of "Westwood Manor", formerly in SMC and now in CC; "Lumber Street", 100 ac. Samuel Tennison hereby warrants these presents against himself and his heirs against the heirs of Elizabeth Elliott. Deed ack. by Elizabeth, wife of Samuel Tennison. (CC Liber L, #2). Rechecked and confirmed. (I'm not completely sure who Elizabeth Elliott is, but she might be Elizabeth Davis, daughter of John Davis and Ann Reeder. Elizabeth Davis married William Elliott prior to 1731). Did one copy from the other and they're both mistaken? I don't know, but what's got me going is that Samuel Tennison did have a wife named Elizabeth (she was Elizabeth Bond, daughter of Zachariah Bond who died 1716 in St. Mary's Co. and his wife, Ann) and Samuel Chunn did not. Samuel Chunn's wife was Susanna Love. I do have an entry for Samuel Chunn and wife selling 100 ac. of "Lumber Street", but it's 9 years later. Is it possible that Samuel Chunn and Samuel Tennison both owned parts of this property? 8/12/1735: From Samuel Chunn of CC, planter to William Warder of CC, planter for 2000 lbs. tobacco "Lumber Street", 100 ac. Wit: Robert Yates, Thomas Stone. Ack. by Samuel Chunn and Susanna, his wife. (CC Land Rec.). Then I have this: 4/30/1723: Admin. accts. of Lucy Love, Chas. Co. Appraisers: Richard Edelen and George Brett. NOK: Susanna Love and Samuel Tennison (Skinner). 4/28/1724: Admin. accts. of Lucia Dobson (alias Lucia Love), Charles Co. Adm: Samuel Love. I have this woman as Lucia "Lucy" (nee Dobson), widow of Thomas Love of Charles County. She was the daughter of Samuel Dobson and Lucy Stratton. Lucy Stratton was the servant girl who had an illegitimate child by her master, Arthur Turner that created such an uproar in 1658. The NOK of Lucy Love are Susanna Love and Samuel Tennison. I am assuming that Susanna Love is the same girl who married Samuel Chunn January 20, 1730/31 at Trinity Episcopal and that she was the daughter of Thomas Love and Lucy Dobson. I am also assuming that Samuel Tennison must have been married to a daughter of Thomas Love and Lucy Dobson at this point in time.
