Carole, If you have further info I would be happy to check some of my databases. My Bowles came out of southern MO. What is your grandmother's first name? I assume she was born in 1932 in OK. Was Otis also born in OK? Did they live anywhere else beside those two states that you know of? The Otis Wallace Ray you mentioned was born in 1912 in OK and died in 1958 - no SS# given in the CA death index. There are two Otis Rays and two Wallace Rays in the SSDI so if push came to shove you could write for all four records.
